THE OTHER SIDE OF TEMECULA
As the same with clothing, i love shooting at places that have character. Sure, the beautiful city girl streets are beautiful, but they're too perfect. And well, life's not perfect. Life is grimy, it hustles, it drinks whisky, and it swears. I like the back alleys, the abandoned lots, the side walls tattooed up with art. There's a story there, and i want to capture that in my images. I'm going to start a section in the blog called 'places', where i will be juxtaposing beautiful outfits in an array of different and interesting places. And that's just what i'm after, interest. I want to be interesting. I want to develop content that is interesting. Because, why be boring?!
This location is in Temecula CA. Temecula is stunning! the hubs and i are part of a wine club at one of the wineries here and we go every few months or so to pick up our shipment. kind of like a mini getaway. As we were looking for places to shoot, the setting of the picturesque vineyards wasn't doing it for me. so we kept on driving, into pretty much nowhere land temecula. then we saw it. This abandoned barn. There is about 3 barns/ structures together, all half torn apart, with reminiscences of it's past life scattered on the floor. Mattresses, a lot of them. Broken toilets, a lot of them. WHO USED TO LIVE HERE? WHERE ARE THEY NOW? WHERE AM I!? Is somebody going to pop out from one of the broken windows!?
Enjoy the photos! And of course, you can shop the look below.
